It wasn’t a long hike but it was one that breaks a sweat. It was a Sunday afternoon, and my wife and I decided to soak up the sun and go for a hike at the Regional Park, Rancho San Rafael. The hike starts off mild in the beginning, but towards the halfway mark it starts to incline rapidly. Fortunately, my wife and I are experienced in such a hike that we broke a little bit of a sweat and we felt good about conquering the hike! Little did you know that their is a beautiful view of Reno at the top.

Reno is definitely experiencing a lot of changes but one thing for sure is we have access to the great outdoors. Hiking is just one physical activity everyone can enjoy. Getting outside and soaking up the sun is important to maintain physical and mental health.

On our way down, a little black-billed magpie bird called for our attention so I decided to capture a shot.
I know it is just turned spring but the school semester is over and much needed downtime is essential. I look forward to continue going on hikes this summer and enjoying my time away from school. Work and school seems to consume my life during the semester that it’s important to take some time for myself and go outside in the nature. I am challenging myself this summer to get outside every weekend.
Do you like to go on hikes? Where should my wife and I hike next? Let me know in the comments!
