I’m Gustavo Gomez, an Accountant Technician at the University of Nevada, Reno, working toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant.

My path into accounting started in public accounting, where I built a strong foundation in financial reporting and tax practice. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNR and am currently pursuing my MBA at the University’s College of Business.

Before accounting, I served nine years in the United States Army, an experience that shaped my discipline, resilience, and leadership. I stay involved in my community today as Treasurer of my homeowners association and as President of the NSHE Classified Council with Nevada System of Higher Education.

Outside of work, I’m a lifelong pianist. Music is how I recharge and express myself.
