Reno, Nevada is a high-desert city near the Sierra Nevada known as “The Biggest Little City in the World” for its small size and big personality. Once defined by railroads and gambling, it still shows that history in its casinos and neon signs but has evolved with a growing arts scene, tech presence, and strong outdoor culture. The Truckee River runs through downtown, and nearby Lake Tahoe and mountains make outdoor activities central to local life. Reno blends Western, desert, and mountain influences, hosts major events, and feels friendly, sunny, and full of contrasts as it continues to redefine itself.
